Stars + Stripes: The Ultimate Touch Free Vehicle Wash

Pop open these ultimate touch free snow foams and George Washington himself will be summoned in his Dodge Challenger leading you into a successful foam gun battle against every type of grime that there is, on any type of vehicle. Stars is foamed onto the vehicle first, then Stripes right over it. Using these two soaps allows us to tackle double the grime by using a wider range of surfactants that help to remove many different types of gunk. When they mix together, a pH shock will activate the cleaning reaction, eliminating any chance that road film had to hold onto your paint. Rinse that surface at high PSI like you mean it, and do it from the bottom to the top, just enough to upset that annoying neighbor that always says you missed a spot and to do his truck next. Everything looks good wet so dry it, then swipe your finger across whatever was the dirtiest part of your vehicle, while keeping your other hand free to catch your jaw before it hits the ground. This process saves the user up to 80% of the time it would normally take to do a mitt wash.

DIRECTIONS / TIPS / DILUTIONS

Directions

BEFORE YOU START...
No situation is the same in the world of washing & degreasing. Different seasons, paint conditions, power washers, etc all play a huge role in how you wash.
STARS + STRIPES arrives SUPER concentrated. Stretch it out or go a little heavier. This is up to you. Wash a small section and adjust your soaps if needed. Use this technique when ever starting a new wash.
Before applying STARS, we recommend performing a high-PSI pre-rinse to remove any heavy buildup.
Step 1: Apply Stars (Blue)
  • Use a foamer or soap nozzle
  • Foam bottom-up to avoid streaking
  • Dwell time: 30–60 seconds (do not let dry)
Step 2: Apply Stripes (Red)
  • Foam directly over Stars, no rinse in between
  • Apply again, bottom-up
  • Dwell time: another 30–60 seconds

If you’re working on a vehicle with heavy grime or buildup, you can extend the dwell time for better results—just be careful not to let the soap dry on the surface.

Step 3: Rinse Thoroughly
  • Rinse left to right, starting at the bottom of the foamed section
  • Use high-PSI and stay within 12" of the surface
  • Missing a section while rinsing may leave behind road film
(Optional) Step 4: Add Snake Oil For Protection
  • Apply after rinse, while vehicle is still wet
  • Let sit for 30–60 seconds
  • Rinse to reveal a slick, glossy, water-beading finish
Tips / Tricks

  • Try not to wash in direct sunlight as this will greatly accelerate drying. When washing mirror polished aluminum always make sure aluminum is cool to the touch before applying soap and never let soaps dry. If it's too hot to touch we recommend a cold water pre-rinse.
  • After rinsing, dry the surface to prevent any water spots from forming. However, if you plan to follow up your wash with Snake Oil, apply Snake Oil before drying your vehicle.
  • Consider using a leaf blower for efficiency or, even better, a drying towel with a spray detailer for a flawless finish.
Dilutions
  • Foam Cannon: 4 parts water to 1 part Stars (4:1)
  • Power Washer: Run at 100:1 Panel Impact Ratio (PIR)

*Note: If you're using a Chem-X/Suttner Foam Injector, it automatically dilutes at 100:1. Just place the pickup tube into each gallon of Stars + Stripes and tighten the Chem-X Flow Cap, the injector does the rest.
